The silly thing is that by default the settings for OLE objects are such that they might not plot. Here’s how: Have an excel spread sheet saved. That’s one of the reasons I avoid using OLE objects. Unfortunately your version of AutoCAD is too old to have the Table > DataLink feature that. The Object Inserted into AutoCAD is an OLE, and I can not get this to PLOT. I do know if you insert the Object as a TIFF or a JPEG it will Plot.

I did all 4 pdf’s today as AutoCAD dwg. Try inserting it is paper space instead. Did you check the usual, like layers, etc. Is there a way to convert other than a photo program??

You are commenting using your Facebook account. I can now trace around Fields, Sites, using Polylines and if the polyline is closed, I can accurately find the Area of sites. If I test it in the center of the page, no distortion. Register a new account. Also if you play around with the drivers be sure to set up a system restore with driver roll back in XP. Autocad Graphics Not Generated Error. But when I re-opened the drawing, I can not get it to plot properly again. I haven’t managed to convert pdf to an image file with the pixels going berserk, although what we have done is printed the pdf and scanned it as a jpeg and inserted it that way, it might be worth a try I guess.
This is a mystery to me, been trying to figure it out all day. Are your plotter drivers up to date, if its okay on the inkjet but not on the plotter then I would suggest its the plotter and not settings in Acad.

I am putting an OLE of an image into paperspace new logo for a pre-existing titleblock and for some reason if the logo is placed anywhere near the edge of the page, it seems to get distorted and shrinks when printed. I need to view and plot the image, not just be able to view from Objevt. Anything you can think of in the Plot dialog box?

I am about to tell my boss “Can’t be done”. PasteSpecial I believe – as an enhanced Metafile I have tried everything, linking, not linking, pasting it on a Word.
If you can then send me a pm with your email address, then I will convert the pdf to an image file and email it to you, I would post it on here but I expect the file size would be too high. It all looks great, print preview looks good, and it prints as an AutoCAD dwg. Thank you for this suggestion, something I did not know about, but it plottting work.
Notice plottig pdf is portrait orientation. After the OLE object is in your drawing you will pltoting likely want to move it into position.
